THIS IS MY INTRO BELOW
Welcome to my world.
I didn't see MOST of it coming though.
JOHN FISHERS WAS THE CULTURE SHOCK TO END ALL CULTURE SHOCKS
FIVE SCHOOLS CONVERGING ON ONE PLAYGROUND C 1958.
COME ON....
These are a few words and memories from that world. I have
written them over my recent later years.
Born 1943 in the old Batley Maternity Home (so forgive the
brackets which follow,I know no better).
Bombs over Batley Railway Station blew windows through
and also minds too, even as far away as Mount Pleasant.

I do not try to fool myself or anyone, that they are
words or works of art, (how can they be? I'm just a lad from Staincliffe
Estate). But they are thoughts which swam through the world inside my head on various different
occasions.
They are, I can assure you though, works of my heart.
A Batley lad. Lived Warwick Mount. Then Staincliffe Council Estate.
Schooled at St Josephs Batley Carr and St John Fishers (then a little bit at
Dewsbury Tech)
Hope you like the words Hope you enjoy reading about
the times.
Hope they jog you out of your todays for just one
small while.
The poems are personal, so I hope they 're not too much of a drag .
My memories are from back in my yesterdays in Batley. , West Yorkshire.
Love it if you enjoy them . I will add to them each week.
